Silly Bandz

Silly Bandz are the latest fad in kids collectibles.  I found this out the other day when Noah came home from school wanting to go buy some.  Silly bandz are rubber bracelets that are shaped like animals and objects.  I guess they aren't as bad as some of the fads we had growing up.  Just to name a few...slap bracelets, garbage pail kids, pogs.  Wow, those where the days:)  It is just so much fun being a kid, isn't it??  I took Noah to the store yesterday to buy a pack.  Kyra seemed to love them just as much, if not more:)  Noah can't wait to wear them to school and trade them with his friends.

2nd Employee.

Avid Off Road hired a 2nd employee....Yeah!!  Even better, a full-time employee.  Mid July was when we hired him.  This can only mean that good things are happening...our bussiness is growing:)  So now we have a full time employee and a part time employee.  We were so glad to have hired the new guy when we did cause we would sure have been up a creek if we hadn't.  Sales were high this month and Brandon would be stressing more than he is, if we wouldn't have hired him when we did.  What a blessing things have been and we are so very grateful for everything we have learned thus far!

Fourth Grade.

Holy Crap!!  I have a 4th grader...
Noah's first day of school is today.  I couldn't tell you if he was more excited to see his friends again, or more excited to wear his new shoes.  I'm sure it was alittle of both...

Mrs. Tate is his teacher this year.  I don't know much about her, but I am sure she will be great for him.  I'm excited to see what this school year brings.

Mr. Balloon Man!

Eric never ceases to amaze me....He has all kinds of hidden talents up his sleeves!
Balloon Pro, Balloon Man, Balloon Twister, Balloon Artist
Whatever you wana call him. Noah, Pace, Kyra, and Cade all got to enjoy Eric twisting balloons for them.  This was a first for all of us.  Noah got a motorcycle, Pace got a monkey, Kyra got a teddy bear, Cade got a dog.
From what I hear, Eric did balloon twisting at restaurants way back in the day.  This was his job throughout High school.  He said it made pretty dang good money, and that's all that counts:)  Right?

My kids are so lucky to have an Uncle like him!  He is great!  Eric taught Noah how to make a lizard.
Eric didn't forget about us girls...He twisted me a heart with 2 love birds and Beth got a pretty flower.
The kids also got swords & parrots.  Kyra's sword was purple, how cute is that!!!

I Hold You...I Did!!!

"I Hold You"
Just another cute saying that Kyra loves to say when she would like you to hold her.  Makes us laugh every time she says it.

"I Did!!!"
She always says this with such enthusiasm.  When asking Kyra just about any question, her response is "I did".
For example:
Kyra do you want to go play with Cade today?  "I did"
Kyra do you want some milk?  "I did"
It is really cute to hear.

Done Away w/ "Slug-Bugs".

I picked up Noah today from being at Nick's.  He has been there for two weeks which has been the longest he has ever stayed with him.  It was hard not being able to see him.  Noah really had a hard time being gone for so long!  He really missed us, it was quite sad:(

On the was home, Noah and I played the new version of "Slug-Bug".  We played PT Bruiser.  Everytime you spot a PT Cruiser, you get to slug someone in the arm.  Since you never see Volkswagen Beetles around anymore, I guess kids have come up with this new version.  It was pretty fun and I never realized how many PT Cruisers are on the road, especially red ones.  Personally I think they are pretty ugly, and I would never own one, but obviously alot of people like them.  Glad Noah is home and we get to enjoy him again!!!

Circle Circle Round Round...Twinkle Twinkle★

Circle, Triangle, Star, Square, Heart, Balloon
Yes, Kyra has figured out her shapes.  She is getting so smart and growing up ohhh so fast!  She can point to the correct shape when called out and can place each shape in its appropriate spot in a shape-sorter.

She also has become quite the little singer.  She loves to sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam, and I Am Like a Star Shining Brightly.

One more funny thing she did...Reading to her before she goes to bed is one of my nightly rituals.  Last night we were reading a book and there was a picture of a mouse.  Kyra pointed it out and said "Mickey Mouse".  The picture was of an ordinary gray mouse so it was really cute of her to say that.

Her are some random photo's that I have taken of her.  She is now 20 months and getting cuter by the minute:)  If that is at all possible.  We love what she brings into our family.  She is such a sweet little girl!
Doritos is one of Kyra's favorite snacks and obviously eating them naked is the most fun!

She loves any accessory she can get her hands on, especially these glasses!

Sometimes I don't wake up early enough to workout before Kyra wakes up.  So the only way to get a workout in is to give her her own yoga mat.

Sunday morning before we went to church.  So Cute!
